Let me define "irony" for you:
I received a phone call from Jessica at Black Star Co-op yesterday. She said, and I now quote from their newsletter:
Thanks to a strong showing at the Beer Social, we've passed the 1,000 member-owner milestone! Congratulations to Jon Loeliger who won the gift bag from our 1,000th member-owner raffle. As of 6/24, the Co-op's membership is 1,013 strong and continues to grow.
That's right, as President of the Central Texas *Wine* Guild, I've won the 1000-th member raffle award at the Black Star Beer Co-op.
Just thought you should know.
Sangria Wine Recipe
1-12 oz can of frozen limeade concentrate
1-12 oz can of frozen orange juice concentrate
1 bottle of Dry Comal Creek Foot Pressed Wine
2 liters of HEB grapefruit soda (found at HEB)
Mix together first 3 ingredients and place in freezer until slushy. Add 2 liters of grapefruit soda.

2 bags pita bread
2-6 oz. jars marinated artichoke hearts, drained
1/2 onion, finely chopped
3 cloves garlic, minced
3 C. Mozzarella cheese, shredded
1-8 oz. pkg. cream cheese, softened
1 C. grated Parmesan cheese
1 C. mayonnaise

The February meeting of the CTWG will be at Jordan & Lyn's on the 22nd at 2:00pm.
We will talk about SO2, probably in large doses, er, excruciating detail! We will also have our new Hanna SO2 mini-titrator. If you would like to have the free or total SO2 tested on a wine sample of yours, let Jordan know and bring 50ml (or a bit more) and $2 per test.
